People and stuff

People really like their stuff! We have so much of it at home that we happily call “mine”. From our favourite cups, our personal beds, our clothing, our new phones, and so on.

We also have a lot of stuff that we don’t want to call “mine”, these objects being the candy wrapper that helped our chocolate bar stay pristine,  the coffee cup we already drank out of, the styrofoam container that held our food order, and the plastic bag that helped carry our groceries home. There’s not much love and care that we put onto these objects—not as much as our beloved versatile pair of shoes. And maybe, this is why we let go of so much stuff. It’s just never been loved by us, and isn’t designed for our time and care. Maybe, we just have a love problem.
